Senate Bill No.55
As you may or may not be aware, California passed Senate Bill No. 55 which will begin January 1st, 2024.
Dealers in CA must offer every customer (new & used) the option to have the vin # etched onto the catalytic converter.
We have a solution for dealers to remain compliant and avoid any penalties!
Part of this bill allows the dealer to sell an option and the customer can purchase the option or opt out. The dealer CAN make money by offering a warranty that will provide coverage if the converter is stolen!
